This Island Hat is crafted from fine raffia palm with a stone weave structure. It features a cowhide band and is adorned with a foil stamp of Mr. FATMAN, who collaborated with SUN SURF. The S size includes a nylon-adjuster for enhanced fit. The brim width is a versatile 80mm, ideal for various styles, while the crown height is 110mm, providing a practical fit with a teardrop crown shape. A carefully crafted 50mm wide tiered ribbon made from SUN SURF’s original rayon fabric is attached.

**Mr. FATMAN × SUNSURF**

The history of Hawaii as a resort island gives it a strong casual image. However, due to influences from British, French, and American colonizers, photographs from that era show gentlemen in suits wearing hats. The luxurious Matson Line cruise ships sailing from San Francisco to Hawaii featured brochures describing the local men’s attire as "Panama hats and aloha shirts," establishing the hat as a staple item in Hawaii.

In collaboration with SUNSURF, the production was entrusted to Mr. FATMAN, who leads THE FAT HATTER. This brand embodies the culture of the 1950s, the golden age of hats, and offers products that go beyond ready-made designs. Their collaboration, rooted in deep appreciation for the '50s, expresses the ideal hat matching aloha shirts. From carefully selected materials to the production techniques, including the "I-stitch" used for the leather band’s sewing, the attention to detail from both brands is evident.

The fabric used for the ribbon varies by cutting, resulting in unique patterns for each piece. Colors may slightly differ from actual products depending on your device settings and environment. Please understand in advance.
