Sillage
Sillage is a Tokyo-based label founded by Nicolas “Yuthanan” Chalmeau, built around globally inspired clothing made in Japan. The name refers to a “wake” (like a trail left behind).
What it’s known for
• One-size, oversized silhouettes that drape and move (inclusive by design).
• Modular, layering-friendly separates (shirts, wide trousers, outerwear, easy sets).
• Quiet, refined execution: great fabrics, strong construction, understated branding.
Material & philosophy
• Frequent use of vintage/antique fabrics, upcycling, and limited-quantity production—often creating one-off pieces.
Best pieces to start with
• Wide trousers (baggy / “circular” / hakama-style cuts).
• Oversized shirts with big pockets.
• Blousons/coats that show the brand’s volume and drape.
Fit notes
Most items are one size on purpose—meant to look relaxed. Your “fit” is mostly controlled by styling (tuck, cuff, belt, layering).
Who it’s for
If you want comfort and volume, but still want the clothes to feel precise and elevated.
