Taiga Takahashi
Taiga Takahashi (now “T.T”) is a New York + Kyoto–based unisex label built on “applied archaeology”: studying historical garments as artifacts, then reconstructing their fabrics, patterns, and construction into modern clothing that’s meant to age beautifully.
Core idea
“Resurrecting relics of the past to unearth artifacts of the future” — the brand treats vintage as research, not nostalgia.
What it’s known for
• Archive-driven workwear and uniforms (jackets, shirts, denim, wide trousers) refined into clean, quiet silhouettes.
• Obsessive fabric development and traditional craft—materials and construction are the main story, not logos.
• A “time capsule” feel: pieces designed to look better with wear, like lived-in artifacts.
Design vibe
Minimal, serious, and emotionally “historical” without looking like costume—old-world details filtered into a calm, modern wardrobe.
Brand continuity
Founder Taiga Takahashi (Central Saint Martins grad) launched the brand in 2017; after his passing in 2022, the label continued under the name T.T with his team carrying the philosophy forward.
