T.T's iconic item, the new silhouette of jeans.
These jeans are designed based on the silhouette of LOT.704 Denim Trousers c.1920’s, crafted by Taiga Takahashi during an era when he was making women's wear, featuring a flared shape from above the knee to the hem. This piece is meticulously constructed with a pattern that beautifully accentuates the body's lines, researched and designed by the designer himself.
Made from U.S. organic cotton, this is a 3/1 left twill, light-ounce denim woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama. The denim fabric, woven slowly on what is known as a shuttle loom—capable of only 1/10 to 1/20 the speed of modern looms—retains the natural texture of cotton yarn, resulting in a desirable irregularity. The warp threads are dyed with a mix of sulfur dyes, characterized by a weathered green cast color.
It is dyed to a core white with rope dyeing. The weft threads use custom neppy yarn dyed a yellowish beige that evokes the passage of time. By using these two types of yarn, Taiga Takahashi achieved a rich and deep indigo blue unique to his style. The finishing includes a shrink-proof treatment known as sanforized.
It features 'white ear' selvage denim fabric, with white ear incorporated in various places such as the back of the belt.
The custom engraved buttons and back are all made of iron and are not coated, which will rust over time, allowing for enjoyment of the aging process. It is constructed using the same methods as in the 1920s, faithfully reproducing all the details. The signature leather patch is dyed with mud from Amami Oshima.
Patterns differ between sizes 24~27 and sizes 28~36. Please check the size chart for details.
After washing, a shrinkage of 2-3% will occur.
