This product is inspired by the slip-on sneakers worn by beach boys in Hawaii during the same era as vintage Aloha shirts. The design features prints of 1940s to 1950s vintage Aloha shirt patterns on cotton twill fabric, which is cut and sewn into these unique shoes. Crafted by skilled artisans in Japan who have been making sneakers for many years, the soles are adhered using the vulcanization method. This pair exemplifies the dedication to textile design and traditional craftsmanship characteristic of Sun Surf.

Vulcanization Method: Developed in America in 1839, the vulcanization process for sneakers involves mixing sulfur with rubber and applying heat and pressure within a chamber over time, enabling bonding and molding to occur simultaneously. As a result, the connection between the sole and upper is strong, while the rubber parts remain flexible and durable.

This product comes packaged in a special box.
