Work shorts made with durable twill fabric woven with a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The fabric features a good touch, is resistant to wrinkles, and has a unique luster. While many of TUF-NUT's vintage trousers are seen with urea buttons, this design uses snap buttons engraved with the brand name for convenience. Incorporating vintage details such as a coin pocket at the waist and a brass TALON zipper, the pockets and bag fabric are designed to be slightly larger to fit modern living. The silhouette is a slightly wider straight cut, with the full-length work pants 'Lot No. TN42300' featuring the same details.

Toughnuts, which developed workwear mainly in the western United States, gained a reputation for high-quality manufacturing and supplied work shirts and slacks to the military during World War II. After the war, they continued to produce high-quality chambray shirts, work jackets, work pants, overalls, etc., and their recognition spread across the United States. Subsequently, they diversified their manufacturing to meet the demands of the times, expanding beyond workwear to include items with an East Coast feel such as color pants in the 60s, and stretchable wear, achieving differentiation from other workwear by diversifying materials, functionality, and colors.
