This jacket, a custom order from American soldiers stationed in the southern Vietnamese city of SOCTRANG in the late 1960s, features an orthodox design with a tiger and the character for "luck" on the chest, and a map of Vietnam on the back. The sleeves boast a larger dragon, intricately embroidered, setting it apart from other Vietnam jackets. Although the map appears to have the same color scheme, the hues are actually adapted to match the body color, beautifully capturing the unique allure of the matte embroidery typical of Vietnam jackets.

VIETNAM JACKET

Similar to the Sukajan, which originated in post-war Japan, the souvenir jacket known as Heta-chan was born during the Vietnam War in the 1960s to 1970s. It primarily uses two types of fabrics: cotton twill or camouflage-patterned Honcho liner, embellished with thick, matte-colored threads in impressive embroidery.
