A souvenir vest brought back to America by U.S. soldiers stationed in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. Like the Viet Cong style, it features a tiger and the character for happiness on the chest, and an embroidery of the Vietnam map on the back. Made of military-derived camouflage nylon ripstop fabric with gourd-shaped quilting, it is insulated for moderate warmth. The zipper design instead of buttons makes it lightweight and easy to wear.

VIETNAM JACKET

Similar to the Suki Chan that emerged in post-war Japan, this souvenir jacket, commonly known as Heto Chan, originated during the Vietnam War from the 1960s to 1970s. It mainly uses two types of fabric: cotton twill or camouflage patterned honcho liner, with designs embroidered using matte, thick colored threads.
