The Kamehameha Garment Company, which became the top Aloha shirt manufacturer by 1945, started in 1936 with just 15 employees. This shirt is a revival of a design they created in the mid-1950s, marking its first reissue under the Sun Surf brand. Illustrated on the shirt is the path taken by humpback whales as they migrate to Hawaii from December to March for breeding, birthing, and nurturing their young.
