The warp is made with indigo mixed with sulfur dyes, featuring a weathered green cast color. It is dyed using rope dyeing to achieve a core white. The weft utilizes a custom nep yarn dyed in a yellowed natural color that evokes a sense of time passing. By using these two types of yarn, we have achieved a rich and deep indigo blue unique to Taiga Takahashi.
The finishing includes a anti-shrink treatment called sanforized.
It is made from 'white ear' selvedge denim fabric, utilizing white ear in various places such as the back of the belt. These jeans have a considerably deep rise, with a straight silhouette that drops from the thigh to the hem. The design retains important elements like the rounded front pockets, rivets on the openings, and the buckle back on the rear.
The custom engraved buttons and back are all made of iron and untreated with plating on the surface, which will rust over time, showcasing the aging process. All details can be enjoyed just like during the 1920s, constructed using the same methods from the 1910s. The signature leather patch uses indigo-dyed leather from Amami Oshima.
After washing, a shrinkage of 2-3% occurs.
The iron materials used for accessories like tack buttons, rivets, and buckles faithfully reproduce details from older times. Additionally, as the materials have not been treated with rust-proofing, there is a risk of rust and sharp points (sharp pin) with use.
