Denim jacket that is iconic for Taiga Takahashi. This denim jacket is made from original 100% organic cotton denim fabric woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama. It features a 3/1 left-hand twill, light-weight denim woven with American organic cotton on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama. The denim fabric, woven slowly on shuttle looms that can only weave at one-tenth to one-twentieth the speed of modern looms, retains the natural texture of the cotton threads, creating a pleasing irregularity. The warp yarn is indigo mixed with sulfur dyes, characterized by a weathered green cast color. It is dyed core-white using rope dyeing. The weft yarn uses custom nep yarn dyed a yellowed natural color that evokes a sense of passage of time. By using these two types of yarn, Taiga Takahashi has achieved a rich and deep indigo blue unique to his style. The finishing process includes a shrink-proofing treatment called sanforizing. It features 'white-ear' selvedge denim, with white-ear utilized in various places such as the front hem and cuff lining. In the 1940s, changes in details can be seen, such as the use of decorative snap buttons instead of the robust iron buttons. Original colors were recreated by studying the Art Deco style buttons and rivets that were widely used during that time. The signature leather patch is dyed with mud from Amami Oshima.

After washing, a shrinkage of 2-3% will occur.
