Style IVORY

Logger pants believed to be worn by Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) forest workers since around 1934. Made from durable cotton canvas, like the Lot. 325 Logger Jacket. This fabric was reportedly adopted by the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot, which manufactured clothing for the army, for CCC tents and sleeping bags, leading to the creation of these pants around the same time.
The pants feature a double knee construction up to the calf. Originally, they were designed more as a tool than clothing, with oil infused for waterproofing. All buttons are made of metal, ensuring maximum durability. Lot. 219 Logger Pants are dyed with a garment dye to mimic the colors of the clothing worn by forest workers at the time. As a special piece, they are garment dyed with persimmon tannin, traditionally used to enhance fabric durability, and showcase a marbled pattern resembling tree rings, each one captured from the water's surface. The marbling technique traces back to the Heian period, originally a method of transferring ink from the surface of water onto washi paper. By slowly dripping ink into the center of a circle, irregular concentric circles resembling tree rings are formed on the water's surface over time. Each pair of pants is floated on the water to capture the unique pattern. Due to subtle movements in the wind, no two patterns are the same. This design embodies the beauty and time of nature that cannot be controlled by human hands, allowing for a natural finish.
The custom button and back piece incorporate iron materials, featuring a tarnished-like plating to express the passage of time.
