Introducing a band collar shirt inspired by a 1910s dress shirt found in New York.
At that time, white shirts were considered the epitome of elegance, and owning multiple pieces was a status symbol among the wealthy.
For those with only a minimum number of shirts, the detachable collar emerged, allowing for the washing of just the collar while still sporting a white shirt.
This shirt features a unique structure, quite different from the voluminous patterns popular in the 1910s.
The design includes a straight shoulder line without a shoulder slope, and sleeves attached directly to a snug armhole.
The shirt is formed from a pattern with more straight lines than expected.
This linear design incorporates the lost state of the band collar into its aesthetic.
The fabric is a blend of lyocell and cotton, finished with a bio-fibril processing technique to achieve a vintage, matte look.
