A reversible type of Viet-Jacket custom ordered by soldiers stationed in Bien Hoa, Vietnam, in the late 1960s. The cotton twill side features embroidery of a parachute unit, with a simple text on the chest. Instead of '福', it is labeled 'HAPPINESS' on the left chest. The reversible nylon ripstop side is embroidered with the history of being stationed in Phu Bai, Hue Province, Vietnam. While map patterns are common in Viet-Jackets, landscape designs are extremely rare.

VIETNAM JACKET

Similar to the Sukajan born in post-war Japan, this souvenir jacket, known as Hōrensō, emerged during the Vietnam War from the 1960s to 1970s. It is mainly made with cotton twill or camouflage-patterned Honcho liners, and features embroidered designs using thick, matte-colored threads.
