One of the representative fabrics used in military wear is cotton herringbone fabric. The densely woven herringbone fabric was developed during World War II as a gas defense uniform. This shirt is an original from Buzz Rickson's, and compared to regular herringbone fabric used in shirts, it incorporates about twice the amount of yarn, making it durable for hard use and enhancing its texture with wear.
