This duck fabric is woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom using cotton yarn in size 16 for the warp and silk nep yarn in size 10 for the weft. It has a dry and casual texture, but due to the slow weaving process on the shuttle loom, it has a more voluminous quality. While the design is simple, the sewing specifications reflect the details of vintage work jackets with the use of double needle stitching.
