The light back satin fabric introduced to the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the 1950s is woven loosely on a shuttle loom using 16s warp and 10s weft yarns, providing excellent softness and texture of the fabric.
The jacket modified from the M-65 uses a CROWN zipper just like the vintage version.
It has a drop shoulder design with a wider body and armholes, eliminating epaulettes and action pleats, and includes elbow patches and sleeve pockets as additional features.
