This jacket features a striking pink and black design, with a deeper hue under the sleeves, known as a "reverse color scheme." It reproduces a rare vintage piece from the early 1950s that depicts an eagle with its wings spread, using white thread to showcase detailed embroidery that brings a sense of depth and dynamism. Uniquely, it incorporates a combination of cherry blossoms and the eagle motif on the lower left of the back.

The reversible side showcases a blue body reminiscent of clear skies, adorned with a landscape pattern depicting serene Japanese scenery. Among these, the piece featuring "Peony flowers" is exceptionally rare, with a beautiful spring backdrop of a five-story pagoda and Mount Fuji still glistening with residual snow. The deformed dragon and tiger on the chest are charming, and the unrelated green ribbing on the body emphasizes the classic sukajan style of that era.

ACETATE SOUVENIR JACKET

This is the most standard reversible type of souvenir jacket, made entirely of acetate fabric on both sides. In the post-war period, sukajan were made using acetate, a non-rationed material that shares the luxurious feel of silk. It is lightweight with no filling, allowing for versatile wear across seasons, and its unique drape adds to its appeal.
