This is a piece from the early 1950s featuring an orange and silver body with a roaring white tiger. Using white base color threads, it skillfully manipulates the direction of the needle to create a three-dimensional feel in the embroidery, highlighting the tiger's fur and stripe patterns as well as the dynamism of its front paws on the rocky terrain. The tiger on the chest is notably larger than usual, showcasing impressive embroidery details. The overall look is accentuated by black ribbing with a red line.
The reversible side showcases a solid black body adorned with a landscape pattern of Japan depicted in soft, colorful threads like blue and pink. The winter scene features Mount Fuji and pine trees on the chest, while the back displays a dragon, an oriental stupa, and a deer resting at the base of a pine tree. For American soldiers at the time, the sukajan jacket was a mesmerizingscape they wanted to bring back to their homeland.

This souvenir jacket made with acetate on both sides features quilted specifications with padding. Like the unpadded versions, it has been crafted since the early days of sukajan's history. The quilted stitching is found only on one side, allowing for two distinct expressions in one jacket.
