This jacket features a Japan map design that encapsulates beautiful Japanese landscapes, including Mount Fuji, five-story pagodas, and torii gates. It is a recreation of a vintage piece from the early 1950s, characterized by its luxurious design, with minimal plain areas and an embroidered back that is completely filled. The green and off-white body contrasts with unrelated red ribs, adding a unique accent typical of that era's sukajan.
The reversible side contrasts with an interesting use of negative space, showcasing an embroidered golden dragon in a Japanese painting style. The dragon and tiger on the chest are the same as the outer side, which indicates that the vintage pieces used the same 'embroidered pattern' for both sides, reflecting the embroidery craftsperson's dedication in adjusting color tones to match the fabric's hue.
