Meet the iconic character "Uncle Tris", created by the advertising art master, Yoshihira Yanagihara. He has fans not only in Japan but around the world, and his works continue to influence many artists today. He was involved in the 1961 campaign "Let's Go to Hawaii", deepening the connection with Hawaii, and in the past, SUNSURF produced original aloha shirts in collaboration with Keoni of Hawaii, receiving substantial acclaim. After approximately 10 years of preparation, a new work has been announced in 2024. The design has been reinvented by the only artist officially allowed to modify Yoshihira Yanagihara's designs, Mookie Sato, who is also a passionate fan influenced by Yanagihara's work. With a deep involvement in the SUNSURF projects, the synergy between Mookie, a connoisseur of aloha shirts, and the designs of Yoshihira Yanagihara is set to launch a new world of Uncle Tris for this season.
