This military chino by Buzz Rickson’s is made to the original specifications. The fabric is a sturdy, high-quality cotton chino cloth reproduced from vintage designs. The details incorporate various styles of chinos analyzed from different eras, featuring 1940s two-needle chain stitching, hand-stitched double piping pockets, and a 1960s zipper fly. The silhouette is tailored to a slimmer fit compared to models from that time.
During World War I, soldiers wore 'BREECHES,' a style resembling jodhpurs, but by World War II, they transitioned to 'trousers' (slacks) officially adopted by the Army Air Corps in 1937. However, the initial trousers provided received poor feedback from soldiers, prompting the military to allow civilian companies to improve quality. This led to the development of various models of military chinos.
