STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND is a unit established in 1946 by the United States Air Force, primarily for the operation of bombers. Soon after its establishment, the unit introduced the B-47 Stratojet, a bomber equipped with six engines powered by turbojets, developed by Boeing. The embroidery on the back captures a moment of flight at Loring Air Force Base in Maine, which was later tailored into a bowling shirt after a soldier stationed in Japan entrusted a photo to an embroidery shop. The material is a reproduction of the original from that time, using 100% rayon with thick yarn in a plain weave.
