The "add-on parka" commonly seen before the 1950s incorporates a hood later added to a crew neck design. The fabric is a heavy sweatshirt material with 20/20/7 construction using outer, middle, and inner threads. The body is crafted in a tubular style, while the ribbing is knitted with a 10-gauge yarn. The fabric used for the hood is a single-layer design and features a gusset at the neckline. The sewing technique employs a double-needle stitching, and it comes in body colors showcasing both one-tone and two-tone vintage styles.
