A model from the 1950s named WINTER KING. It features a simple design with no quilting stitches on the surface, making the fabric's luster stand out even more. The front has a brown tape 'crown zipper' installed. The pockets are designed to prevent contents from falling out and are equipped with boa on the inside. The hem is made differently on the front and back, and the front bodice features a woven name inspired by a bear, characteristic of 'Alaska'.

The Alaska Sleeping Bag Company was founded in the early 1930s in Portland, Oregon. Starting as a manufacturer of cold-weather sleeping bags using down, it later began producing and selling outdoor wear and gear in general. Its durable and high-quality down wear gained a reputation for withstanding extreme cold, and the business expanded, supported by the outdoor boom of the time. As it grew, it also increased its performance in mail-order catalog sales, competing for market share with L.L. Bean and Eddie Bauer in the 1960s. Although the business continued steadily for a while, by the 1970s, due to the entry of many competitors, management gradually faced difficulties, leading to the brand's end after the peak of the outdoor boom in the late 1970s.
