50's XX Straight Denim Pants

"Known as the "gem of fibers," this ultra-long staple West Indian Sea Island cotton is the highest quality in the world.
Using this rare and luxurious material, we have crafted selvedge denim through vintage methods, resulting in a rich texture and appearance.
The dyeing process utilizes Tokushima's traditional "Awa indigo dyeing" technique, characterized by a grayish hue and the natural dyeing irregularities created through hand dyeing.
The sewing adheres to old-fashioned specifications, resulting in straight pants inspired by the 1960s.
We also recommend pairing it with the same material (Product number: 02253AB05 "2ND TYPE Denim Jacket").

*Home washing and air-drying will cause the length to shrink by approximately 7-8% and the width by about 5-6%, along with potential twisting and fluffing. The size details provided refer to product dimensions.

The spinning incorporates waste cotton generated during spinning to recreate the natural spinning irregularities and nep feel of the time.
Using 100% indigo dyed yarns that have been dyed using the traditional Tokushima technique of dyeing in the skein state called "Awa indigo dyeing."
The fabric is woven slowly and powerfully on old-fashioned shuttle looms, resulting in a touch that is firm yet soft due to the intrinsic properties of the raw materials.
Since this is "raw denim" that intentionally omits processes such as singeing, sanforization, and anti-skew treatments, you can fully enjoy the unique texture of indigo dyeing and the aging effects.

West Indian Sea Island cotton is an extremely rare cotton that makes up less than 0.001% of cotton harvested worldwide.
Due to its rarity, which can only be grown in limited lands in the West Indies (Caribbean), and its exceptional fiber length and fineness, it has been regarded as a luxury item served to the British royal household. From the late 16th century, it was forbidden for export from Britain to other countries for approximately 200 years. Japan acquired the rights to production and purchasing from Britain in 1975 and has since developed it to the present day.
