The STANDARD DENIM series represents the essence of the denim brand Sugar Cane. This label goes beyond merely replicating the aesthetic details of vintage jeans and instead focuses on meticulous craftsmanship throughout every stage—from spinning the yarn to dyeing, weaving, and sewing—authentically rejuvenating vintage styles. These timeless jeans have been loved by many and continue to be produced as enduring classics.

Launched in 2002, the series began with Lot No. SC41947. It has evolved over the past 20 years, introducing iconic models such as the updated slim straight silhouette Lot No. SC42009 and Lot No. SC42014.

The latest addition to the STANDARD DENIM collection, Lot No. SC42021, introduces the first slim tapered silhouette in the series. Unlike the previously mentioned models, it features a unique slim cut. The most significant difference lies in the fabric's thickness. While SC42009 and SC42014 utilized a comfortable 12-ounce denim, this SC42021 is crafted from 14.25-ounce selvedge denim woven on vintage shuttle looms, similar to SC41947. This allows for distinctive aging characteristics, including thigh whiskering and honeycomb creases behind the knees, setting it apart from lighter weight denims.
