Our latest project here at Sillage takes another step in the right direction as we shift our focus more and more to incorporate the concepts of sustainability and up-cycling into our core beliefs.
After carefully sourcing a small collection of pieces, we cut the uniforms into triangle patches and then sewed them together to create sheets of patchwork fabric.
From there, we then had our artisans in Tokyo re-work the patchwork sheets by hand and had them cut, assemble, stitch, and sew the different sections of the sheet together. Afterward, the clothes were then sent to our factory in Okayama for the buttoning process.

This new short blouson takes inspiration from vintage jackets of the 1980s and marks Sillage’s first-ever zip-up design. It features a fitted ribbed hem balanced by a relaxed body and broad shoulders, creating a silhouette that captures the essence of classic 80s style.
No two jackets and pants are the same, and each one will be numbered by hand by a good friend of the brand Kawai san.

This is a product made through the process of up-cycling used/vintage fabrics. Because of the nature of used/vintage fabrics, some pieces may show signs of fraying, dirt, scratches, fading, etc. Please be aware of this before you purchase anything, thank you.

Sillage Artisanal Collection

As part of our sustainable initiatives, Sillage presents a new proposal.
This is the "Artisanal Collection".

We dismantle old used clothes into triangle pieces.

These pieces are then randomly stitched together to form large fabric panels.

The fabric is then cut and sewn according to patterns.

All processes are handled by a single artisan.
Finally, an artist hand-paints and numbers each piece.

Every item has a unique expression due to this lengthy process.

This collection provides value by giving new life to used items.

In this collection, we are remaking a vintage fake suede shirt from America.

The style is a newly designed short-length blouson inspired by 80's vintage blousons. This is Sillage's first zip-up type. The hem is fitted while the body and shoulders have a relaxed silhouette, reminiscent of 80s to 90s DC brand styles.

As this is a processed used clothing item, please understand and accept any signs of fraying, dirt, or scratches before purchasing.
