Our latest project here at Sillage takes another step in the right direction as we shift our focus more and more to incorporate the concepts of sustainability and up-cycling into our core beliefs. 
After carefully sourcing a small collection of pieces, we cut the uniforms into triangle  patches and then sewed them together to create sheets of patchwork fabric.
From there, we then had our artisans in Tokyo re-work the patchwork sheets by hand and had them cut, assemble, stitch, and sew the different sections of the sheet together. Afterward, the clothes were then sent to our factory in Okayama for the buttoning process.

This new short blouson takes inspiration from vintage jackets of the 1980s and marks Sillage’s first-ever zip-up design. It features a fitted ribbed hem balanced by a relaxed body and broad shoulders, creating a silhouette that captures the essence of classic 80s style.
No two jackets and pants  are the same, and each one will be numbered by hand by a good friend of the brand Kawai san

Sillage Artisanal Collection

As part of our sustainable initiatives, we present a new offering from Sillage.

This is the "Artisanal Collection"

Existing used clothing is dismantled into triangle pieces.

These are randomly stitched together to create a large piece of fabric.

That fabric is then cut and sewn according to patterns.

All processes are handled by a single artisan.

Finally, an artist hand-paints the numbering.

Each item has a unique character.

The value resulting from this lengthy process.

Giving new value to used items.

This is a collection that offers such new proposals.

In this instance, we are remaking a vintage faux suede shirt from America.

The style is a new short blouson inspired by 80s vintage jackets. It is Sillage's first zip-up design. The ribbed hem is tight, while the body and shoulders are relaxed, creating a silhouette reminiscent of the DC brands from the 80s to 90s.

This product is processed from used clothing.
