Inspired by the feathers of birds, these wide pants feature a hand-painted pattern crafted by artisans in Kyoto. The beautiful gradation of colors is expressed in five shades, showcasing the subtle transitions found in real feathers. Made with environmentally friendly materials, the two types of fabric create depth of color and texture due to the differences in dyeing. The base color is brushed on and then airbrushed with other colors, using techniques that require the skill of a seasoned artisan, such as managing the bleeding of colors and finishing before the fabric dries completely.
