A faithful reproduction of a piece obtained in recent years from the mid-1950s. The motif is a depiction of a tiger's face, commonly referred to as the ‘Tiger Head,’ but unlike typical designs, this unique upward-facing composition is exceptionally rare even among vintage pieces. The complex tiger stripes (torafu) on the face are distinctive. By creating black stripes that appear shadowed, the embroidery's three-dimensional quality is further emphasized. The tricolor palette features a blue and silver body with red ribbing, complemented by vibrant embroidery that serves as a stunning accent.
The reversible side features a map of Japan pattern. Without the word 'JAPAN', the map and place names are prominently displayed on an orange body, intentionally blending the embroidery thread in similar hues to make the sleeves and Mount Fuji's blue stand out. Additionally, since the same embroidery type was used for the front design, both sides have the same motif, but upon closer inspection, the embroidery is done in different colored threads suited to each side’s body color, a specification in line with vintage standards.
ACETATE SOUVENIR JACKET
This reversible type uses acetate fabric on both sides, making it the most standard among souvenir jackets. In the post-war period, the sukajan was made from acetate, a high-quality material resembling silk but classified as a non-rationed item. With no padding, it can be worn in any season, and its unique drape is a desirable feature.

Returns & Exchanges
Returns are not accepted for overseas orders due to customer preferences, including incorrect sizing or personal interpretation of the product.
An exchange or refund will be offered only if the item received is incorrect or has a defect caused by us.
Please contact us within 3 days of delivery, including your order number and a description of the issue. Approved cases will have return shipping covered by us.
