This sweatshirt was born from the inspiration of American sportswear before the widespread adoption of synthetic materials, dating back to the 1950s. Like the Lot.601 Tee Shirt, it features a flat shape derived from direct cuts.

In modern times, details such as the V-gusset at the neckline (which prevents sweat) have been omitted due to cost-cutting and technological advances, revealing the social and manufacturing background of the time. The tubular terry fabric is created using existing loop knitting machines. These knitting machines, which were introduced to Japan during the Taisho era, are currently operational only in Wakayama Prefecture, making them unique in the world. Although they can only knit one meter per hour, this inefficiency allows for a fabric that feels airy, as if it has woven in air over time, resulting in a nicely textured fabric. Additionally, by using USA cotton, a unique texture with a dry touch is realized. The charcoal and beige are finished with garment dyeing, allowing for natural variations in shading on the sewn parts and the unevenness of the fabric. Combined with the characteristic unevenness of loop knitting, the fabric achieves a single color while still conveying a sense of fluctuation in expression.
