This sweatshirt was born from inspiration taken from the origins of American sportswear before the widespread adoption of synthetic materials, dating back to before the 1950s. Like the Lot.601 Tee Shirt, it features a flat shape created by direct cutting.

In modern times, details like the V-gusset sweat guard placed at the neck, which have been omitted due to cost reduction and technological improvements, reveal the social and manufacturing background of the time. The round-bodied pile fabric is made using existing suspend knitting machines, which were brought to Japan during the Taisho era and are currently operational only in Wakayama Prefecture. It is highly inefficient, knitting only one meter per hour, but the slow process results in a fabric with a pleasant unevenness, as if air has been knitted in as well. Furthermore, by using USA cotton as the material, a unique texture that combines a dry feel has been realized. YAKUSUGI, SAKURA, MUD DYED BROWN, and SUMI are all hand-dyed carefully, with each piece unique, presenting an appeal of being one-of-a-kind.
