The T-shirt is one of the iconic clothing pieces of America, originally developed as undergarments worn beneath uniforms or military clothing. This simple garment embodies America's rational approach to manufacturing.
It features a structure with no waste, constructed from tubular fabric known as 'marudō' with holes for the neck and arms, as well as sleeves. While its appearance is similar to modern casual wear, its nature is entirely different. The design faithfully reproduces the specifications from that time, including no shoulder slope, a boat neck-like neckline, and a neck rib that is double-stitched to prevent stretching.
This tubular jersey fabric is slowly knitted over time using existing loop knitting machines.
The loop knitting machines were brought to Japan during the Taisho era and are now functioning exclusively in Wakayama Prefecture, which is the only place in the world where they operate. Although it is an incredibly inefficient machine capable of only knitting one meter per hour, the fabric produced has a pleasant irregularity and rich texture, as if it contains air. By using USA cotton as material, the fabric is finished with a dry texture and unique feel. YAKUSUGI, SAKURA, MUD DYED BROWN, USUZUMI are all meticulously dyed by hand, making each one unique with one-of-a-kind expressions.

Returns, refunds, and exchanges are not accepted for overseas orders unless the customer receives an incorrect item due to our fulfillment error.
