The M-38 Hat, originally produced for the United States Army Air Corps from 1937 to 1941, has been redesigned into a New Silhouette. This exquisite piece is crafted with a balance of roundness and depth.
It features a satin fabric with high-density weft, enhanced by a silkette finish in the pre-treatment to improve dye absorption, resulting in a beautifully vibrant material.
The NATURAL DYED BEIGE is dyed using natural dyes from 'Yamabō' and 'Kakishibu'. Both 'Yamabō' and 'Kakishibu' have been used for dyeing and traditional herbal medicine since ancient times. Rich in tannins, the color deepens and gains patina over time, allowing for enjoyment of its aging process.
The MUD DYED BROWN is created using the traditional dyeing technique 'Mud Dyeing' from Amami Oshima, painstakingly hand-dyed, ensuring that no two pieces are alike, offering a unique expression.
