The Mid-Ride Down Jacket combines the benefits of down and synthetic insulation. The body features clean down that has been thoroughly treated to remove dirt using advanced cleaning technology, along with a water-repellent finish. The shoulder area, which is prone to packing down, is equipped with a board-like synthetic insulation. The fabric is made from Pertex Quantum, offering a soft feel, light weight, and durability. It is compatible with the ZIP IN ZIP system, allowing connection to an outer shell with a dedicated zipper. The jacket is designed to be packable, fitting conveniently into the left chest inner pocket. This is an activewear piece you can use enthusiastically. Compatible model for zip-in zip (men's).

Reviews
The sewing is a bit...
The comfort, thermal insulation, and lightness are typical of North. However, perhaps due to poor sewing, I find a feather or two coming out almost every day. It's disappointing given the quality of the item.

I purchased the Thunder jacket last year, but since it wasn't ZIP IN ZIP compatible, I bought it again. I wear it connected with the mountain jacket.

CLEANDOWN
CLEANDOWN uses raw down processed by Kawada Feather, a down manufacturer headquartered in Meiwa Town, Mie Prefecture. By using the soft water that flows through this area and the dry climate that makes down feathers open up easily, dirt and dust are thoroughly removed without damaging the down, resulting in clean down. The cleaned down has better loft than the unwashed one and enhances thermal insulation. The clean down wraps the body more warmly.

GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT
The GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT is a project that collects and refines down (feathers), a limited resource, and utilizes it as raw material for new products, including down clothing, under the name 'GREENDOWN'. It helps reduce carbon dioxide generated during the incineration of down (approximately 1.8 kg of carbon dioxide is emitted for 1 kg of down) and carbon dioxide when it is transported from the producing country to Japan.
