The NORTH FACE's classic down jacket combines warmth and lightweight comfort. For the Fall/Winter 2024 season, it features a revival of details from 2002, updated with a well-balanced size fit. Made from lightweight 20-denier ripstop nylon, it is treated with a water-repellent finish to withstand light rain and snow. The shiny fabric provides an elegant texture, while the prone-to-wear cuffs and hem are reinforced with nylon taffeta. The insulation is composed of infrared-ray reflective Klymit down, ensuring long-lasting warmth. Advanced cleaning technology is used to eliminate dirt thoroughly, maintaining high thermal insulation. This model is compatible with zip-in zip-out outer layers sold separately. It comes with a convenient stuff sack for portability. The relaxed silhouette makes it easy to layer with thicker inner garments or hoodies, making it ideal for outdoor activities and town use from autumn to winter. Best for cold weather
I bought a larger size, but it's comfortable enough that I don't mind the size and it's very useful because it goes well with other outfits.

For use as an inner layer with the mountain jacket. I bought it to use when visiting Tohoku. It is a bit pricey, but it's lightweight and warm, and I'm glad I made the splurge! I was able to enjoy myself without being defeated by the cold or snowfall.

CLEANDOWN
CLEANDOWN uses down raw material that has been cleaned and processed by Kawada Feather, a down product manufacturer based in Meiwa-cho, Mie Prefecture. Using soft water from this area and a dry climate that makes the down feathers easier to open up, dirt and dust are thoroughly removed without damaging the down, resulting in clean down. The cleaned down has better loftiness and greater thermal insulation compared to unwashed down. The clean down wraps the body more warmly.
