THE NORTH FACE's iconic heritage item has been renewed with modern materials. The outer fabric is made of a lightweight nylon material featuring structured hollow fibers. It has a cotton-like natural texture and is water-resistant. The insulation includes some recycled down, allowing you to experience the characteristic baffle design and lightweight feel of down. The lining is made of thin, smooth 12-denier nylon ripstop. Flap pockets are located on both chests. The front pockets feature an arrow-tack design that enhances the durability of the seams while serving as a design accent, reflecting classical detailing. CLEANDOWN
CLEANDOWN uses raw down that has been cleaned and processed by Kawada Feather, a down manufacturer based in Meiwa-cho, Mie Prefecture, as the main raw material. The down is thoroughly cleaned while using soft water flowing in this area and in a dry climate where the down feathers can open easily, avoiding damage and removing dirt and dust, resulting in clean down. The clean down has better loftiness than before cleaning and enhances thermal insulation. Clean down wraps the body more warmly.

GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT
The GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT is an initiative to collect and refine down (feathers), a limited resource, and utilize it as a raw material for new products like down wear under the name 'GREENDOWN.' It reduces the carbon dioxide emitted when down is incinerated (approximately 1.8 kg of carbon dioxide is emitted per 1 kg of down) and the carbon dioxide generated when shipping from the country of origin to Japan.
