The NORTH FACE's classic waterproof down coat features a shoulder seam design. Updated for the 2024 fall/winter season, it offers a balanced fit that aligns with current trends. Made with a non-fluorinated membrane, it utilizes ePE GORE-TEX PRODUCTS 2-layer material. The outer fabric is durable 70-denier nylon, while the shoulders, elbows, and back hem are reinforced with high-strength fabric. The insulation includes clean down that has been thoroughly cleaned through advanced washing technology, ensuring high thermal insulation. The fur on the hood is removable. Large pockets with flaps are located on both sides. Available in a range of subdued colors, this versatile piece is suitable for outdoor and urban use as well as business occasions.

I ordered sizes M and L to try on since they were not in the store.
I thought L might be too large, but I'm glad I chose it. It's warm.

Bought for a trip to the extreme cold
I bought this to share with my daughter for a trip to an extremely cold place. We haven't traveled yet, but when I tried it on, it felt quite warm. Since it blocks the wind, it will surely be useful even in extremely cold areas.
I think it would be better if it were a little softer since it's a bit stiff.

CLEANDOWN
CLEANDOWN uses raw down that has been processed and cleaned by Kawada Feather, a feather processing manufacturer based in Meiwa-cho, Mie Prefecture. In a dry climate where down feathers can easily open, and with the use of soft water from the area, dirt and dust are thoroughly removed without damaging the down, resulting in clean down. The cleaned down excels in loft compared to non-cleaned down and improves thermal insulation. Clean down wraps the body more warmly.

GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT
The GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT is an initiative to collect and refine down (feathers), which is a limited resource, and use it as a raw material for new products, including down clothing, under the name "GREENDOWN." It helps reduce the carbon dioxide emitted during incineration of down (approximately 1.8 kg of carbon dioxide per 1 kg of down) and the carbon dioxide generated when shipping from the country of origin to Japan.
