Pretty good
The fabric has a crisp feel and may not be compact, but it gives a sense of security. The inner attachment zipper is also convenient, and it's fine even in mid-winter.
Mountain Jacket (Men's)
The fabric has a crisp feel and may not be compact, but it gives a sense of security. The inner attachment zipper is also convenient, and it's fine even in mid-winter.
I wanted to use it for skiing, which I do occasionally, so I purchased it. It's useful not only for climbing but also for sports events.
When I felt it in the store, it seemed stiff, but when worn, it blocks the wind, and when combined with the fleece I bought alongside it, I feel warm enough even in mid-winter. Since I spend a considerable amount of time outdoors almost every day, this seems like a reliable piece.
A piece that can be used in any weather, whether sunny, rainy, or windy. The color is also fantastic. It's built sturdily enough that it seems it will last for 20 years.
I have two pieces of the previous model, but personally, I find the comfort a bit stiff. The texture has become more pronounced, and the lining feels light. I couldn't even tell if it had snow cuffs because it felt so flimsy. A certain YouTuber also criticized it harshly, but I think the previous version was easier to wear and looked cooler.
The M size was good for my physique, but since I wanted to use it in winter, I assumed I would wear it while riding a motorcycle in fleece, and when I stretched out my arms in the store, I felt discomfort, so I bought one size larger.
The texture is good, the fit is satisfactory, and I really like the silhouette when worn. I hesitated between a light jacket and this one but I’m really glad I chose this.
The design is stylish enough for town use, and if you adjust with an inner layer, it can be used all year round, making it an excellent item.
There are a variety of sold separately inner layers, so I want to buy one soon. When you wear an inner layer, the warmth is completely different, but it doesn't look bulky, so I'm looking forward to mixing and matching. Of course, this alone is sufficient until December!
The North Face is known for mountain jackets. I had been using a Mountain Light Jacket, but I decided to go for it and purchase this one. It seems like I will be using it a lot in town and the mountains from now on.
Since my last purchase 19 years ago, it has significantly deteriorated, so I went to the shop before it got really cold and ended up finding this.
I like the comfort, design, etc. The staff were also kind and helpful.
Hokkaido will soon turn into a snowy landscape. I purchased a North Face mountain jacket for walking in Hokkaido, and it's keeping me warm.
What I liked is that it has a zip-in fleece and down, and even when worn separately, it looks stylish.
Also, even if it's not declared zip-in, it was nice that I could attach other North Face fleeces too. Thanks to that, I haven't caught a cold.
It feels good to wear.
It seems useful for outdoor activities and commuting in the future.
Until now, I preferred wearing men's size L.
However, depending on the items worn underneath, there were some that felt a bit tight on the shoulders, and I was thinking of sticking with L this time, but the length almost completely covers my butt.
The shoulder width has quite a bit of room.
After seeing how it felt with a hoodie underneath, I chose XL.
Also, regarding my own silhouette, I definitely recommend trying it on.
I am very satisfied with the size and silhouette! I want to buy a different colored product!
I usually wear an XL for outerwear, but the previous Mountain XL was slightly tight, so I had been holding off, but this year the mountain jackets have been reconsidered in size, so I went to the store to see the actual product. When worn individually, L feels just right, but when zip-in and worn again, it feels a bit tight. XL feels a bit large when worn individually, similar to the Mountain Light in length. When zip-in, the sleeves are long, but overall it feels like a cohesive size. If it were just for the mountain, I would think L is better.
Since I can set in a different inner layer, it can be used in various seasons!!
I purchased it for snowboarding. It's light and warm, so it's easy to move.
I think the size is a bit larger than expected.
I am 173cm and 72kg, size L fits just right.
I am still considering which zip-in to get... It’s durable, so I can’t say it will last a lifetime, but it seems like I can wear it for a long time!
I am 171cm and S size fits well.
I like that it's small and fits well, and the zip-in zip is the best.
I haven’t worn a suit at work lately, so I was looking for a more casual upper garment than a coat and purchased this. I actually confirmed the size in the store and went with a roomy L. The length is just right, and I like it.
It was great that it was okay if it rained during the camping trip.
I renewed it because the one I had been using for a while got old. It seems to fit a bit looser, but the comfort remains the same. I also use it during snow removal work, and it's a reliable piece. Since the fit has become looser, I think you need to choose the size carefully when wearing it to avoid it being too big or too tight in certain situations.
Very good.
The ability to wash it in the washing machine without worry is the best!
I hesitated between L size and XL size, and decided after trying it on in the store. I love it for winter sports and my commute.
I use it as an outer layer during my commute. I drape it over my suit and also use it as a substitute for a coat. It's very practical and useful.
I can wear it casually, and it’s properly waterproof, which I really like.
When I wear the mountain jacket by itself, it feels large on my body type. For spring or autumn (though recently there hasn’t been much autumn), I think size S is good for wearing it alone with a thin inner layer; in winter, when wearing it with a zip-in zip inner, a size M fits well if it’s something like a sweater. The outer fabric is very durable and doesn’t get snagged by cat claws. For some reason, cat hair is also hard to stick to it. If you own a cat, the mountain jacket is the only choice!
Light and warm, it also performed well as boardwear. Above all, it looks cool.
Exactly the classic. If you love North Face, this is an item you must have.
When I was caught in fog while climbing, I received compliments from a friend who was with me that it was very visible, making it easy to walk behind me, and I am satisfied with that.
For trekking, M size has a tight fit. For everyday use, L might be better. In any case, it doesn’t let the wind through, and if you wear an inner down or fleece, it should be perfect. Personally, I think it looks definitely cooler than the light version.
Truly the king of North! Compared to the Mountain Light, the use cases are limited, but it is well-shaped around the waist, making it useful for touring on a bike without flapping around.
As a TNF user, I've always admired this item. I hadn’t had the chance to purchase it until now, but I finally got my hands on it! Just as I heard, its usability is great, and I’d like to coordinate the colors from now on.
A jacket that is active in various scenes. I bought a slightly larger men’s size because I wanted to use it for boarding. It's large enough to cover my bottom, which is good. When I attach a removable fleece, it performs greatly even on snowy days. The drawback is that the Velcro part snags on knits.
It's a wonderful item with water repellency, comfort, and adaptability! By layering it with zip-in zip compatible inners, you can stay warm even on windy winter days.
The dark brown color was nice. The fit is slightly tighter.
This is my third shell jacket from North Face. The silhouette, pocket positioning, and other functionalities are the best in my opinion. I look forward to the new colors coming out every year.
Seriously a heavy rotation item. Really nice! Cool.
The inner layer can be removed, making it usable from autumn to early spring. I also use it for cruising by boat after climbing. The removable windbreaker at the waist is convenient.
I find it very useful as it can be used in various ways. Since it is a bit slim-fitting, I think a looser fit might be better.
I purchased the long-awaited mountain jacket. It feels great with Gore-Tex and is the best.
Of course, it has waterproof properties, and it also has powder guards, and you can attach separately sold inner down or fleece. You can complete a day of snowboarding with just this one piece from leaving home to returning. Since it is a bit large and the fabric is thick, I think it is not very suitable for everyday use. If you don't do winter mountain climbing or winter sports, you probably don't need it.
I found this jacket when I didn't have a coat I wanted to wear in spring and autumn, and it fulfilled all my needs. It looks more stylish than a trench coat and is more affordable than a trench coat. If you wear down under it, you can use it for a long season. I'll wear it for a long time☆
I was unsure about the size, but when I tried it on at the store, it was just the right size.
With the inner layer, it's versatile enough to be worn even in mid-winter! If I remove the inner layer, it can still be used as a light outer layer, which makes me very satisfied.
This is my third mountain jacket. It has more room in the body, and I used to wear L, but I now find M to be sufficient and I like it.
Function and style are well balanced. It's the best.
I bought it while considering a different color of the mountain light. It is definitely more comfortable than the light version. The color of the jacket is beautiful and lifts my spirits when I wear it. It's lighter than down but warm. It's versatile for both sports and town use, broadening the range of fashion.
This time I bought the black one. There are different colors available, and that one is for outdoor use, it's definitely a reliable piece.
