THE NORTH FACE heritage model, the Sierra Parka, is a jacket that inherits the design of the original outdoor down parka released in 1970. The outer material features lightweight nylon made with unique hollow fibers. It offers a cotton-like natural texture and is also water-resistant. The inner filling incorporates some recycled down, allowing you to experience the distinct baffle feel and lightweight properties of down. The lining is made of thin, smooth 12-denier nylon ripstop. The hood is removable, and silver buttons on the front add a design accent. With a box silhouette featuring large flap pockets, this piece is easy to coordinate as everyday wear.

CLEANDOWN
CLEANDOWN uses down raw material that has been cleaned and processed by Kawada Feather, a down processing manufacturer based in Meiwa-cho, Mie Prefecture. In a dry climate where the down feathers become easier to open, soft water flowing in this area is used to thoroughly remove dirt and dust without damaging the down, producing clean down. The clean down is superior in loft compared to the unwashed down and has higher insulation power. The clean down wraps the body more warmly.

GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT
The GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT is a project that collects and refines down (feathers), which is a limited resource, and utilizes it as a raw material for new products, including down clothing, under the name 'GREENDOWN'. This helps reduce carbon dioxide generated when down is incinerated (about 1.8 kg of carbon dioxide is emitted for every 1 kg of down) and during transportation from the country of origin to Japan.
