The Ascent Jacket, originally released in 1998, has been updated with modern materials. Made with nylon taffeta for the outer shell, it features water-repellent treatment to withstand light rain and snow. The insulation is crafted from environmentally-friendly recycled down, making it suitable for various activities from outdoor adventures to urban use.

CLEANDOWN
CLEANDOWN uses raw down that has been cleaned and processed by Kawada Feather, a down manufacturer based in Meiwa, Mie Prefecture. Using soft water from this area and a dry climate that allows the down feathers to open easily, dirt and dust are thoroughly removed without damaging the down, resulting in clean down. The cleaned down is more voluminous than before washing and has enhanced heat retention. Clean down wraps the body more warmly.

GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT
The GREEN DOWN RECYCLE PROJECT is a project to collect and refine down, a limited resource, and use it as raw material for new products, including down clothing, under the name 'GREENDOWN'. It helps to reduce the carbon dioxide emitted when down is incinerated (approximately 1.8 kg of carbon dioxide is emitted per 1 kg of down) and the carbon dioxide generated when shipped from the country of origin to Japan.
